AM CONSPIRACY Parts Ways With Guitarist

August 16, 2009

AM CONSPIRACY, the band fronted by former DROWNING POOL vocalist Jason "Gong" Jones, has parted ways with guitarist Mike Farole. The group says in a statement, "While Mike will no longer be performing as a full-time member, he will always remain a part of the AM CONSPIRACY brotherhood. It should be noted that there is no ill will between Mike and the band. While the split is hard for both sides, all parties have made every attempt to part on amicable terms. No doubt, as Mike puts together a killer new project, AM CONSPIRACY will be supporting it. We are truly grateful for all the hard work and dedication Mike put into AM CONSPIRACY."

AM CONSPIRACY entered Belle City Sound studio earlier in the year in Racine, Wisconsin with Chris Djuricic (NOVEMBERS DOOM bassist) to begin recording its full-length debut. A late 2009 release via Burnhill Union Records — a newly launched independent label from Chicago — is expected.

AM CONSPIRACY's lineup features core members Jones, Kenny Harrelson (bass) and Dean Andrews (drums) alongside guitarist Drew Burke.

In early 2007, AM CONSPIRACY signed with Corporate Punishment Records and began work on its first release with Rae DiLeo (FILTER, ARMY OF ANYONE). Shortly after signing, the band parted ways with the label and released a four-song EP entitled "Out of the Shallow End". Two of the tracks off the EP ("Absence" and "Far") were featured in regular rotation on XM Radio's SquiZZ, Europe's Kerrang!, and various FM stations across the U.S. "Right On Time" (another track off the EP) and "Welt" (previously unreleased) were part of the "WWE SmackDown vs. Raw 2008" soundtrack.

Jason "Gong" Jones was the featured guest on the April 7, 2009 edition of the "All Knowing Force" web-based interview show. The 35-minute chat can be streamed below.
